Well
respected entertainment solicitors, Sheridans have chosen
Timeslice and LAWMAN to replace the incumbent Avenue system.
Sheridans founded in 1954 with two offices, in London
and Chertsey, Surrey, are a leading firm within the entertainment
and media fields, but also have a broad practice covering
company commercial, litigation, employment, property,
planning and probate work. With a commitment to their
clients to provide a comprehensive and integrated service,
Sheridans identified a need to upgrade to a modern practice
management system.
Financial controller Nilesh Mehta, who led the search
for a new supplier, examined almost all of the systems
available on the market and after shortlisiting three
systems, chose Timeslice’s LAWMAN.
Why Timeslice?
Nilesh says “We finally chose Timeslice as we found that
during negotiations they were extremely customer friendly
and responsive to our needs, we felt we could build a
good working relationship with them.” |
Why
LAWMAN?
“Our old system could not provide us with the information we needed and
the new version of the software offered to us was unsuitable. Initially
LAWMAN did not quite fit our requirements, however this was easily
overcome by working closely with the Timeslice team, who are always more
than willing to assist.”
The sixty user system, allows all Fee Earners and support
staff access. LAWMAN has allowed Sheridans to improve
upon all working practices, in particular its time recording.
This can now be Fee Earner led, eliminating the need for
weekly timesheets, thus reducing administration and giving
more accurate billable time.
The built in document management function, ‘Document Manager’,
available to all staff, has meant that the creation, storage
and filing of documents, emails and bills has become easier.
LAWMAN’s strong reporting functionality means that figures,
comparisons and views, are now easily achieved.
